The Day Of The Week You Were Born Says Everything About Your Personality

If you’re anything like me, then reading your horoscope is one of the first things you do when you need a little insight from the powers that be.

Astrology has been around for nearly as long as people have been looking up at the stars, according to the American Federation of Astrologers.

The Babylonians are credited with the birth of astrology. A form of the zodiac, which is Greek for “circle of animals,” is thought to have originated in ancient Egypt.

The zodiac most of us are familiar with was popularized by the ancient Greeks. However, a lot of non-Western societies have their own versions, too.

For example, the Mayans have their own zodiac, which is known to reveal secret personality traits.

That being said, my personal favorite is the Burmese zodiac, especially since I learned what my sign is: the dragon!

What’s your Burmese zodiac, and what does it say about your personality? Scroll down to find out!

What Is The Burmese Zodiac?

The Burmese zodiac was first developed by monks in Myanmar (formerly Burma), according to Whats Your Sign. Its traditional name is actually mahabote, if you were to ask a monk.

Like most zodiacs, the Burmese relies on signs, which in this case are animals that correlate to the day in which you were born.

Unlike other zodiacs, the Burmese depends on what day of the week you were born instead of the time of year. This calculator will help you determine what day of the week you were born and ultimately, what it says about who you are.

Monday: Tiger

If you were born on Monday, your sign is the mighty tiger. Like the big cat, you are smart, perceptive, and have a lot of attention for detail.

You like to follow the rules, but don’t let anyone get the better of you, seeing as you’re on the top of the food chain. You simply don’t have any time to waste on unimportant matters.

Tuesday: Lion

People born on a Tuesday are another big cat. Lions are natural leaders and fight for what they believe in.

They are usually very proper and have a dignified air about them. This, of course, can also mean they come off as head strong and a little opinionated at times.

Wednesday Morning: Elephant With Tusks

According to Astro Speak, the number eight is very important to Burmese astrology. As a result, they have eight days of the week, and Wednesday is divided in two.

If you were born in the morning on a Wednesday, you are an elephant with tusks, or a male Indian elephant.

Like a bull elephant, you can be a little unpredictable. However, you always put 100% effort into tasks.

You certainly have a wild side, which can lead to trouble, but you are celebrated for your vibrant personality and the excitement you raise.

Wednesday Evening: Elephant Without Tusks

Those born in the afternoon on a Wednesday identify with an elephant without tusks.

People like this tend to be introverts and can be difficult for others to get close to. Of course, this is all part of a defense mechanism to keep yourself out of trouble.

You may not be a risk taker, but you are very careful and calculated in everything you do, which reflects in your work.

Thursday: Rat

Those born on Thursdays are known to identify with the rat. While this may not sound ideal, the rat is actually one of the most adaptable creatures on the planet.

Rats are able to thrive in so many different environments because they are intelligent and good problem solvers. They never stop until they get what they want.

Friday: Guinea Pig

The animal of the day for Friday is the guinea pig. If this is you, then you are extremely excitable and creative, but don’t always see your projects through.

Your affectionate and empathetic personality makes you a great people person who always keeps everyone around you on their toes.

Saturday: Dragon

Saturday is the day of the dragon. Not surprisingly, dragons are known for their fiery personalities.

Dragons can be extremely social, but find it hard to depend on anyone else to do the job right, which can result in self isolation.

Sunday: Garuda

Sunday is the day of Garuda, a mystical Burmese bird god.

Garudas are extremely selfless and are loved by everyone around them for it. They also never shy away from a challenge and are extremely positive and motivational to others.
