Are you experiencing frequent bowel movements? Are you feeling exhausted as a result of the body losing water and other minerals as a result of this frequent bowel movement? Diarrhea is a condition that most people have experienced at some point in their lives.
What is diarrhea?
Diarrhea arises when the colon, your digestive system, is not working correctly to remove toxic substances, food particles, and other waste products from the body in order to maintain healthy functioning.
The lining of the digestive tract is attacked by bacteria or viruses that enter the gut, impairing its ability to absorb liquids from the contents of the colon. Additionally, this speeds up the bowel movement from the digestive tract, which results in diarrhea.
Stools that are loose and runny are a sign of diarrhea. It may be brought on by bacterial or viral infections, food poisoning or allergies, stress, consuming tainted food or water, anxiety, excessive alcohol use, adverse drug reactions, overeating, malnourishment, certain medical conditions, etc.
Some of the symptoms that persons with diarrhea experience include vomiting, dehydration, loss of appetite, fever, nausea, stomach pain, frequent bowel movements, cramping or bloating in the abdomen, etc.
This problem can last for 2 – 7 days and can be healed on its own but if it continues longer (or) increased the frequency of bowel movement, then consult your doctor for proper diagnose and treatment.
